Canada has approximately 8 million children, according to a report from Children First Canada:
- 1/3 children in Canada do not enjoy a safe and healthy childhood,
- 1/5 children lives in poverty and sometimes goes to bed or school on an empty stomach
- 1/3 Canadians have experienced some form of abuse before their 15th birthday.
